COVID-19 News Update

December 14, 2020

Dear Residents and Family Members:

Since our last update we have completed our next round of mass testing and just completed obtaining the results.  After this round of testing, we currently have 9 staff and 3 residents that have tested positive.

The positive employees quarantine at home until a return-to-work date is determined following local health department and CDC guidance.   All positive residents remain in the building, isolated and receiving cares following heightened infection control procedures.

Our next round of mass testing will take place on December 17.  As always, we will notify residents and responsible parties/families of the results and discuss next steps.  A general update on the next testing results will go out to everyone soon after.  Please be aware that testing results have been taking longer than in the past.

Daily monitoring of residents and staff for any signs and symptoms of the virus or any other changes in condition continues.   We continue to strongly encourage residents (and for families to encourage residents) to:

  • Refrain from leaving the building for the time being (we can assist residents in obtaining any items they may need);
  • Wear masks when outside of rooms;
  • Engage in frequent hand hygiene; and
  • Practice good social distancing when outside of room.

Please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
