Residents and Families,
We thank you for your trust in caring for your family members here at Citrus Hills and would like to notify you all that we are still COVID-19 free. We appreciate your support and cooperation throughout these unprecedented times. Social distancing and other virus-related restrictions have been difficult for all of us during this pandemic. As some states begin to “reopen,” our family members and residents understandably want to know when community restrictions (e.g., visitation, communal activities, leaving the community) may be lifted.
Senior living facilities are some of the most COVID-vulnerable places that exist, and will likely be among the last to “reopen”.
We will follow the lead of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). As business and public places begin to re-open, we would like to emphasize that senior living facilities will still be closed off to the public until further notice. Aspects of screening, quarantining and social distancing will likely be required in all facilities even after visitation and communal activities resume. Once we get the approval to re-open the facility we will notify you.
We understand that visitation is an important aspect not only to our residents, but to family members as well. As we hope to have our doors open to you again, we would like to notify you that we are not allowing visitors within the community at this time. If there is a special circumstance within the family or our resident has a delicate prognosis we may make some exceptions. Please call the community so we can assist with scheduling and to ensure proper PPE and where the visit may happen. Please be advised that these visitations will still be within our current visitation hours.
We are happy to report that we still have small group, distanced activities such as exercise programs and arts and crafts. We have also started up a walking program. If any residents need anything from the store we have scheduled times when we can pick those up for them.
Once again, we cannot thank you enough for the support and understanding in times like these.
